When booking the hotel in Gallipoli, take an extra minute or so to check... is this Gallipoli in Turkey, where you are going, or is it, perhaps, in Italy, literally hundreds of miles from your destination?Damn you Gallipoli!
This wouldn't have happened if the ANZACs had won - it'd be called something sensible instead, like Woolabungaroo Flats.
So I suppose, like Fosters lager, Walkabout bars and the inexplicable popularity of flip flops, it's all the Aussies' fault.
