Big Gay Weekend
Many thanks to Brother Mark and Ex and Future Flatmate Dean for a splendid Big Gay Weekend in Brighton this weekend.Highlights included:
Meeting a lovely young girl on a placement in Huddersfield - great company for the train, not at all impeded by her youthful attractiveness. Hurrah.
Fun gay night out #1 with Mark. A selection of nice pubs and bars. Good venues. Good company. Good times.
Midway through fun gay night out #2, insisting we go to a straight bar for a short while, finding one, realising quite how shit it was, then insisting we go back to gay.
Sunshine.
Darkness. (I went to the cinema in the afternoon. Get Him To The Greek. Pretty good.)
Fun straight night out #1 (forgetting the aborted effort of the previous evening).
Dean and I hit the bars. It was surprisingly civilised and managed to keep us out until daylight, although also included what looked like a very successful attempt at chatting up a couple of ladies who then, very abruptly, left. Probably not something we said though. Right?
Fun gay night out #2. On our way home, we got picked up by a rather beautiful Russian (Latvian) woman who insisted we join her at the next bar her group were going to. I'm not sure if she was trying to freak us out, or reassure us when she kept going on and on and on about how it was a gay bar and we really shouldn't worry... no matter how many times we told her it was the very same bar we had been in the previous evening.
Having managed to stay out all night, getting straight on a train back to the North and sleeping every single minute of the way. Teleport!
So thanks all involved in making it a super weekend, including Dean, Mark, The girl from the FSA, Hemma from the Train and Russell Brand. I owe you all one (not you Russell Brand, I paid for my ticket - we're even).
