Who Laureate?
Congrats to Carol Ann Duffy on becoming the new (and first lady) poet laureate.She's a lesbian blah blah blah.Who gives a monkeys?
More important, and the reason that I love her without knowing anything about her or her work, is one quote.
Apparently, the laureate traditionally also receives a “butt of sack” - about 600 bottles’ worth of sherry, donated by the Sherry Institute of Spain.
And what does Duffy have to say about this?
“Andrew hasn’t had his yet so I’ve asked for mine up front.”
