Vinny Jones in 'bit of a tosser' shocker
Poor old Vinny Jones is up before the beak for punching some dude in the head.Well, we've all seen that pic of him grabbing Gazza's balls, so let's face it, the other fella probably got off pretty lightly.
That said, there are some mysteries around the story. To wit...
Vinnie Jones punched a man in a US bar three times in the head after he was asked if he was 'that guy from X-Men,' court papers show.
I don't get it. Vinny Jones is that guy from X-Men. So why was he so upset about it?
It's not like they said 'Are you that guy from Brokeback Mountain?' (thereby implying he was gay, which some people might consider an insult) or 'Didn't you appear in The House Bunny?' (thereby implying that he had chosen to appear in The House Bunny, which all people would consider an insult).
Ah, but there's another version of events...
Fellow drinkers claimed the altercation happened shortly after Jones scuffled with one of Trevino- Barrera's roommates, who hit Jones in the face with a beer glass and cut him.
Oh, so now someone has glassed Vinny in the face and then he's punched the other dude.
I'm no fan of Vinny's, but to be honest, that version does sound rather more likely.
I especially like the final line of the story...
Trevino-Barrera has since pleaded guilty to unrelated drug charges.
In other words, perhaps the headline should have been 'Wanker hits other wanker in pointless un-newsworthy bar fight'.
I can't think why I never got a job in the press.

That's the problem with having a tough guy rep, idiots who want to show that you don't scare them end up ruining your day with pointless fights. Walk softly and carry a big stick. Or maybe just walk softly.
