If the shoe fits

I’d like to have a job in a blacksmith's, making horseshoes. Because horseshoes have all looked the same for too long.

I think horses deserve variety, just like people.

Yet we think these ordinary, everyday, identical horseshoes are lucky.

You know what I think would make a horse feel lucky? A Cuban heel.

“Hot damn, check out these shoes. None of the other horses have anything like it. And I look taller too. These are some lucky shoes.”

Just don’t wear them for showjumping, that’s all I ask.
