Sir Paul Stephenson has been appointed as the Metropolitan Police Commissioner.

I swear to God on Radio 4 news this morning the newscaster said that one of Sir Paul’s tasks on taking this high pressure job was to “bring balance to the force.”

Good Lord, that's just ONE of his tasks?... "congratulations Mr Skywalker, you've got the job. You'll need to bring balance to the force obviously, then there's finding your sister, kissing her, discovering she's your sister and not being nearly as grossed out as you should be, finding your father, trying to kill him and then saving him, and of course, an lot of paperwork.

Also, isn’t Newscaster’ an awesome word? It makes them sound like some kind of powerful information wizard dispensing wisdom from the magic box.
