Hmm, I fear this isn’t going to be a funny one…Men using brothels and massage parlours should be made to give DNA samples in an effort to reduce the number of prostitute murders, an MP has said.
Ex-Labour minister Denis MacShane told the House of Commons that such tests would also be "a way of getting men to face up to their responsibilities".
I’m sorry? My responsibility for what exactly? The murders?
Could you explain how? Mr MacShane?
Mr MacShane, MP for Rotherham, asked Commons leader Harriet Harman: "Would she agree that taking DNA samples from men who go to massage parlours and brothels would be a way of getting men to face up to their responsibilities in this regard?
"Because almost all the horrible murders of prostituted women are by men who have frequented them beforehand."
Ah, there it is. Because prostitutes are killed by people who have frequented them beforehand, everyone who does that is ‘responsible’.
Right.
Similarly, there is a high statistical probabality that victims of child sexual abuse are actually abused by members of their own family.
So we’d best get anyone who has any family onto the database too.
And the victims of drunk drivers are close to 100% likely to have been killed by someone who has frequented a petrol station in the previous week, so we’d better start monitoring these forecourts of death immediately.
Clearly there is a problem with vulnerable women in prostitution, but rubbish like this doesn’t help.
Shut up, MacShane.

What more do you expect from MacShane (nothing more than an irritating ex-student agitator) and Harperson - a disgusting woman who was educated privately at arguably the finest girls' school in England but who actively campaigns for others to be denied that education.
In any sane world, both would have their skulls smashed in with a claw hammer. Revolting people, both.
I agree: asking Harman's opinion on this is akin to asking turkeys what they think about Christmas (although turkeys rather more sympathetic creatures than Harriet Harpy). It is a completely loopy and wrong-headed idea anyway- how could it be enforced? how could it possibly be justified? how would it be paid for/managed?
Similar aregument to 'All men are potential rapists'. Correct anatomically, but not pyschologically.
