You have to love it when people finally let go of ‘business speak’ and remember that they’re human beings.

And so it’s hats off to the spokesman for the Meteorological office who yesterday commented on the flooding and generally apocalyptic precipitation.

"It’s been chucking it down," he said.

Indeed.

In other science news, apparently the blind are better at remembering things than the sighted.

Personally, I think that’s rubbish. I mean really, if it were true, you’d see a lot more blind taxi drivers wouldn’t you?

Hmmm. Thinking about it, maybe they’ve got a point.
