Stagflation
Well, that was a consequence of the security alert that we didn't see coming. It turned out that we had no problem at all getting on our flight in decent time. We made it to Portugal splendidly.
We had a nice weekend of culture and civilised conversation.
In fact, it was all going suspiciously well, until we finally got back to Gatwick. It transpired, as half of our party's luggage failed to materialise on the carousel, that some Portugese, shovel-leaning baggage handlers had forgotten to put a load of our flight's stuff on the plane.
OK, these things happen. Normally you'd just wait for your dirty clothes to arrive home eventually and buy yourself a new toothbrush to get by with.
Unless, of course, the security services have insisted you have to put your keys and mobile phone into your bags in the hold, leaving you with a car you can't drive home in the car park, no way of getting into your house and no phone to call people for help.
Brilliant.
Still, good weekend though.

Typical.
So was your bag one of those still sitting on the tarmac? If so, is Portugal's proximity mean your Spanish bad luck is now crossing borders? Watch out, France is next.
Actually, mine was fine. So the jury is still out on whether Portugal is indeed Spain, or if it's a whole other country.
We had a nice weekend of culture and civilised conversation.
This is completely true; there was nothing extra.
