It seems that a group of Nepalese women, presumably inspired by Calendar Girls, have stripped off to plough the fields (and that's not a metaphor).

What seems to have happened is that, after a dry spell, the villagers became desperate for rain. In a bid to appease the gods, the women of the village got nekkid and ploughed the fields. And you know what? It rained.

Now I think we can all see what's happened here can't we?

The villagers, at their wits' end, go to the wise man of the village.

"The gods are annoyed. It isn't raining. Should we sacrifice a goat?"

The wise man, who is also the only man in the village with satellite telly (and thereofore the weather channel) ponders for a moment. It's going to rain, he sees. This is his chance. But he's already had goat for lunch. Then inspiration strikes.

"No," he declares, "The gods are fed up with goat. What they really want is nudity. And lots of it. After all, are we not all naked in the eyes of the lord."

Everyone starts stripping.

"Not you lot," the wise man shouts to the men of the village, "Nobody wants to see your twig and berries flapping in the breeze. Just the women please. Hey wait. Where are you going?"

"Back to our houses, naked as you required," reply the women.

"That's no good," replies the wise man, "I can't see...erm, that's not what the gods want. You can't just be naked. You must be naked in the field. Go on, get ploughing you lot... Now where did I put that camera."

The wise man pulls a chair up to his window, pops open a beer and readies his camera. And that, my friends, is why they call him the wise man.

I promise you, it's coming soon www.nakednepaleseploughgirls.com. Genius.
