Dutch update
Not much time to blog right now, so a quick update of the highs (no pun intended) and lows of the Amsterdam/Utrecht adventure.Highs
1. Finally getting to feel a fake boob. It was kind of odd, not unpleasant but in now way as good as the real thing. The poodle watching from the corner was a bit off putting as well.
2. Egg, ham and cheese on toast aka a bouncer (like in a nightclub. Not sure why.) is pretty good on a hangover.
3. Chocolate with a kick. Subsequent to this, the notion of keeping an eye on a mole (on your skin, not the digging kind) ‘in case it went off somewhere’ was unbelievably hilarious, and made the flight go with a giggle.
4. Nazi helmets in bright orange. I know, sounds odd, but more on this tomorrow.
Lows
1. Actually being rejected by one of the women in the window. I’m not going into any details here, but it must be said the table of people watching from the pub opposite thought it was highly amusing.
2. Why oh why did whoever put on the ‘live sex show’ think that an entertaining interlude between naked women and men would be a man in a monkey suit (and not a high quality monkey suit either. It was a scraggy, soiled article that you might find in the back of the cupboard in one of the seedier costume shops) with a horrible fake penis which he then wanks and sprays god knows what substance into the audience.
I’m still having nightmares about it.
3. Cold. So… very… cold.
4. Orange everywhere. It’s actually quite an ugly colour isn’t it?

Please reassure us that you will go into details at a later stage about your rejection by one of the women in the window.
Sod the colour orange - I agree with Mads! We want more about Mr The Great being rejected by the woman in the window!! How could any woman reject such a fine morally upstanding gent as yourself?
It must make a change for you to feel a fake boob instead of a real tit ...
BTW in response to Hollander, the orange in my name refers to the fact that my current employers' corporate colour used to be (and to some extent still is) orange. Because of the various objections to it (mostly that it's ugly - we only regulate Great Britain so we don't have to worry about the sectarian connotations in NI), we are phasing it out gradually to be replaced by various shades of blue, mostly.
Blue... far more calming. Orange brings to mind the ever-present threat of being 'Tangoed'.
Mr The Great. Your friends appear to be running your blog without you. Next instalment please!
